With Nefino.LI News, we collect up-to-date public information from the Internet on relevant topics relating to securing land and project development for wind and solar parks as well as hydrogen electrolysers and battery storage in Germany. This includes land tenders, land designations by local authorities or regional planning authorities as well as specific project planning by project developers, e.g. decisions to set up solar parks or approval procedures for wind parks.

First and foremost, the Google interface is used to collect newspaper articles as well as websites from project developers and the relevant planning authorities, i.e. municipalities, districts and regional planning authorities. In addition, artificial intelligence is used to query other websites that are not indexed in Google on a daily basis. These include in particular the more than 5,000 citizen and council information systems in Germany as well as the website of the EIA association.

The news items are displayed in Nefino.LI News in a web-based map application. Each news item that is entered into the database behind Nefino.LI News is location-based and assigned to a municipality, a district, a planning region and/or a federal state. In the map application, users can navigate to relevant news items by selecting the municipalities, districts or similar they are looking for. Artificial intelligence is used to automatically generate a title and summary for each news item and a link to the original source is provided. Every news item that is ultimately displayed in Nefino.LI News is also checked again by a person for relevance.

The number of news items published depends heavily on the days of the week, political vacation periods and the type of energy infrastructure. On average, between 150 and 200 news items on wind and solar energy are published each day across Germany. In addition, there are 50 reports on large-scale battery storage, hydrogen electrolysis and grid expansion, including grid capacities.

Yes, it is possible to create individual favorites that only monitor a specific municipality and/or a specific keyword, for example. It is possible to create both personal and shared favorites, which can then be shared with people in the team. As soon as a new message is published in Nefino.LI News that matches the respective favorite, the user receives a push notification by e-mail that new information is available. The favorites can also be accessed directly from a smartphone via the mobile view of Nefino.LI News.
